The Saanich Express Jr. B Lacrosse Team is an amateur men’s box lacrosse club operating in the Pacific Northwest Junior Lacrosse League. We are based in Saanich, British Columbia playing out of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and at the Panorama Leisure Centre. Member teams operating in the PNWJLL are the Campbell River Ravens, Cowichan Thunder, Nanaimo Timbermen, Oceanside Sharks, Westshore Bears, and ourselves. The League also represents British Columbia in the Western Canadian National Junior B2 Championship known as “The McDonald Cup” held in mid-August each year.
Our franchise was founded and operated as the Saanich Tigers off and on over the past 2 decades but had changed its name, logo and colours and is now operated by local residents Andrea and Tyson Leies since before the pandemic in 2018. Now known as the Saanich Jr. B Express, we have operated for 6 seasons and also operate a Sr. C team in the Vancouver Island Lacrosse League which provides our graduating Jr. players with a place to play after they turn 21 and age out of Junior lacrosse.
